One sad truth is that nearly 30% of married men can be categorised as a 'cheating married man'. This is overall no matter where these men look for their prey. Basically it means that you have a high chance to encounter one of them if you are currently single. Of course, you can't exactly judge him by the cover as he may look innocent from the outside.

Another bad news is that women are very emotional by nature that many women are trapped in an emotional rut of being the other woman. I said trapped because no woman intentionally has an affair with a cheating married man. Part of their conscious mind tells them that they should break it off but as you know, it is easier said than done.

So what is the best way to avoid yourself from getting into this unhealthy affair? Of course, the answer is to avoid being close to a married man in the first place to block off any chance of falling in love with him. And for those married men who never want to reveal their marital situation, read on to find out how to spot a cheating married man from miles away that you can avoid him like a plaque.

Following are few warning signs to tell you that you are involved -- or about to be involved with a married man:

First of all you would notice that he doesn't like making plans in advance. This is because it is hard for a cheating married man to commit to plans made in advance. He would cover it up or make excuses saying that he is a flexible type of guy that he doesn't like to have a set timetable.

He has no integrity as he always cancels plans in the last minute. It's no surprise that you sometimes wonder whether or not he will show up for a date 5 minutes before the pre-arranged date time.

Dates are hardly during the weekend prime time i.e. Friday and Saturday nights. You also have little or no chance of spending holidays together such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Christmas and the likes (Yes he will come up with some excuses of course such as sent away on a business trip by his work).

In terms of phone calls, you would see that he hardly answers phone calls though he would return them -- sometimes at a much later time. Also, when you are actually talking to him on the phone, the phone call is often cut short due to his signals or battery running out etc. And when he is actually with you, you may notice that he has it turned off.

On top of all that, it seems that none of his friends or family actually know that your relationship exists. You probably don't even know his real address or work information -- depending on how comfortable he is in you knowing this information about him.

Lastly a sign that you should be aware of as well as all the other signs above is that a cheating married man may seem more understanding. He can complain much less about you -- or not at all. This is because he doesn't see a big future with you and also, he wants to make sure he doesn't miss a chance to get physical with you. This is why most extramarital affair relationship normally is all physical by nature.

One last note, dating is a fun and wonderful experience to have. The risk of broken heart is always there whether or not you are dating a cheating married man. However, be aware that you are emotional by nature and it is completely unnecessary to take on a very high risk of getting your heart broken by going out with one of them. Stick with the available men out there.
