Webmasters who are constantly looking for new ways to increase their page rank will sooner or later have to submit their websites to online directories, this is because directories provide with a one-way back links which are quite valuable in fact, they are even referred to as yet another form of currency because everyone knows that a high page rank link is worth money. If you are able to verify the quality of the directories your link will be submitted to, then you should definitely consider the submission with the lower quantity of directories is because most of the directories may rank quite high in the search engine result pages compared to hundreds of PR0 directories your site might be getting submitted to if you choose the 1000 directory submission, in this case the back link burst will not be as obvious to search engines and they will not cause their website to be placed on a sandbox. If you have done some research on off page optimization that you know that coming up with thousands of back links virtually overnight is not a good thing because it is obvious that you are trying to manipulate the SERP.

Quality directories are often those which list websites in the right category and subcategory without letting their index to be spammed with low quality websites, in other words some webmasters allow their sites to become what are called link farms because they simply could not review or do not have the time to review the thousands of submissions they get on a daily basis, so inspecting these sites by hand may be your best option in order to assure quality submissions, so grab a pen and paper and get ready to write Web addresses as well as page rank of the best sites which will contribute to improve your search engine listings.
