Family Alaska Cruise

A Cruise around Alaska can be an amazing experience that parents can easily share with their children. Not only will a visit to Alaska provide your children with a great holiday but also an educational experience on the weather, glaciers, marine life and general wildlife in the many vast areas of natural habitat that Alaska has to offer.

As with most destinations Alaska is no different in offering a great selection of onboard activities. Adults with children need not worry about missing the things they want to do as the children also have the option to take part in activities of their own. This gives everyone the chance to do what they want and everyone is happy.

Camp Carnival will take care of your children whilst you enjoy the things that you enjoy to do whilst on vacation. The Camp Carnival Service from Carnival Cruise Lines offers children from the age of 2-15 years old. Children can enjoy games and entertainment to suit their appropriate age groups.

Kid's Crew is available to children aged between 2 and 17 years old is the childrens activity program available of the Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Each of the activities on offer are aimed specifically at the age group of the children taking part.

Whilst you are doing what you want to do your children are being entertained. The younger children can enjoy storytelling and magic shows. The older children may even learn to cook whilst the teenagers are enjoying dances and video games. There are also treasure hunts on the ship and in some cases onshore.

Princess cruise lines also offer their own children's program with its own range of educational activities as well as television time so the kids can watch cartoons. There is also the chance to let the children eat with their friends during one of the children only meal times. You can also take advantage of the sitter service provided by Princess cruise lines, which is available after 10pm for a small additional hourly fee. Not only can you enjoy a quiet meal you can enjoy some of the evening entertainment as well.

Royal Caribbean offer families some great options with their Ocean Adventure program offering children a great variety of activities and fun games for children aged 3 to 17 years old. Ocean Adventure doesn't stop there though because they do plan some really amazing family activities for you to enjoy with your child. So you can also have some adult time and join in when you want. All activities are suitable for the children depending on their age as they are placed in groups based on this.

Travelling on a cruise around Alaska could prove to be difficult as would any holiday if the children are bored. By traveling a cruise ship with a children's activity and entertainments program is a great solution so that everyone has a great vacation together as a family.
