Home Teeth Whitening: A Simple Home Made Formula for Whiter Teeth

By: Smile You

Various products and brands intended for home teeth whitening are readily available in the market. Each product promises satisfactory results and a costumer might be enticed to try one of these simply by the promise of a dazzling smile. However, these products can be too expensive for your budget and you may not get the result that was promised in the advertisements. For whitening your teeth at home, you may not have to pay that much and look no further than your kitchen. It can have the same results as commercial preparations. You also do not have to put up with the nuances that can be required for the application.

The first ingredient that you will need for a home teeth whitening mixture is baking soda. You may have one just lying around in your cupboard. You do not need plenty amount of baking soda. Just about two teaspoons is all you need. Put the two teaspoonfuls in a cup or a small bowl. You can then take a look at your medicine cabinet for a bottle of hydrogen peroxide. This is the one that is commonly used as a wound antiseptic. You need two or three teaspoon of this compound. Mix it with the two teaspoons of baking soda that you previously put in a small bowl or cup. The resulting mixture should form a paste. It may require you to have a bit of a trial and error before you achieve the right consistency. The result of the home teeth whitening preparation should have the consistency of toothpaste. You may also add a little flavoring by mixing a small amount of toothpaste or mint in the mixture.

After the preparations, you can then use the mixture to brush your teeth. Apply it to your teeth the same way as you use your regular toothpaste. Keep brushing for about two minutes and do not swallow any of it. You may just vomit it back as it really does not taste nice. After you have done brushing using the mixture, brush again using your regular toothpaste this time. This is to get rid of the taste left over by your previous brushing. The result of this home teeth whitening formula may amaze you. There are people who use it to get rid of coffee and cigarette stains on their teeth.

For those who are suffering from gingivitis, open mouth sores or other such mouth diseases, they should refrain from using this improvised teeth whitening mixture. Those that have sensitive teeth and gums may also worsen their condition if they try to use this whitening formula. It would be better to consult a dentist before trying this teeth-whitening method.

For those who have a clean bill of health, they can use the mixture weekly or monthly, depending on how often you need to whiten your teeth. However, make sure not to use the home teeth whitening mixture more than once a week.
