This does not inevitably mean that you select a plan that you have heard of before. There are a lot of great companies that are not as well known as others, but offer terrific coverage and are a lot less expensive. You want to make sure that the company has a long track record. If the company has been around for awhile, even though it may not be as large or not as well known, it has stood the test of time that it can pay claims and provide protection for their clients. In addition you may also check AM Best for their ratings on insurance companies. Their website is www.ambest.com.
