If you are spending more on maintaining, and keeping your system running and up-to-date, you are probably in a bad shape. First of all, an eCommerce system has to be exciting to the users (it is \"e\"Commerce after all :)). An eCommerce system is not used only to showcase the products to the customer, but to show the customers that the products meet their needs. A good idea is to allow visitors to post reviews and suggestions for the site. This sytem should be very interactive any make it easy and interesting for the customers to buy your products.

Statistics show that out of 20 new visitors, only 1 buys anything. More loyal buyers are the one that you need. New visitors may come and go, but you have to keep giving benefits to your loyal visitors. They are the ones who have been coming, buying and telling others about it.
