Clean Up Your Financial Room and Keep It CleanBy: David Brooke - When you clean your room, the first thing you do is chuck the things you don't need. Do the same with your finances. Do you really need a landline and a cell phone? Do you keep renewing that seldom-used gym membership in hopes that you'll start going regularly some day? Is your car always in the shop, or does it guzzle gas? Take note of your 'money pits,' and remove as many of them as possible from your life. Like single socks and bubble gum wrappers, they only serve to mess up your room again once you've tidied it, and you won't miss them for a second when they've gone. Business credit cards shoulder the burden for employees, as well as employersBy: Hannah Callen - Being an employee in a growing company generally means have to embrace change; you may find yourself working alongside new colleagues as the business expands and you may even find yourself having to assume new and greater responsibilities. With more staff and structural changes, there is generally more administrative work for a company to deal with and this in itself can impact upon the employee - but, if the company owner is 'on the button', these changes can help to save you time and make life easier. A business credit card is just one of these positive changes. Tags: finance, business credit card, business credit cards, credit cards
Another 1031 Exchange Company Bites the DustBy: Bob Horton - News reached me a few days ago from a friend at a major national commercial real estate brokerage that LandAmerica 1031 Exchange, a substantial firm in the 1031 business, is “terminating operations” immediately. They have frozen customer accounts and are unable to meet customer withdrawal demands. Seems LandAmerica invested its customers’ dollars in illiquid auction rate securities. So now all LandAmerica customers who have their hard-earned capital gains and principal with LandAmerica can’t access their funds and stand a good chance of losing some or all of it.
There has been trouble brewing for a long time for certain 1031 companies, specifically the ones that have other businesses, such as selling/packaging tenant-in-common deals or other brokerage activities. What's All This Doom and Gloom on Wall Street?By: Larry Parr - Why all the doom and gloom over falling stock prices? The only reason investors are worried over a crashing market is because they just don't know how to trade stocks.
My portfolio is up almost 100% each and every trading month. Whether the market is going up or the market is going down, it's all the same to me.
I really can't get behind all of this financial hand-wringing and whining. If stocks are going down then sell short. Or buy puts. Or even sell calls. I mean, there are plenty of ways to cover your assets in a falling market.
Oh, I know the government put some restrictions on short-selling for a few days. Tags: finance, stock maret, trading, investing, making money, system, fibonacci
How can Single Invoice Factoring Save Your Small Business?By: Kristin Gabriel - There are many small businesses that are bracing for a slowdown during the New Year across all industries. Smaller businesses typically lack the resources to get credit from banks and or suppliers during a credit crunch so they are often the hardest hit.
According to the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) their Index of Small Business Optimism fell 5.4 points to 87.5. This is the third lowest reading in the 35-year history of the survey.
This low score may be in part because of today's difficult economic times, where it is difficult for a small business to get a loan from a traditional financial institution.
One financial strategy that many companies know about is called accounts receivable factoring. Tags: finance, invoice factoring, factoring companies, accounts receivable factoring, factor receivables, factoring invoices
Stocks: Reduce Risk Yet Maximize ProfitsBy: John Lux - It is important to note that every smart investor wants to minimize risk while maximizing profit potential. Yet conventional investment theory tells us that in order to increase returns, you have to increase risk.
Naturally, this conventional idea is not true in all cases.
When I was a professional stock trader, I made most of my profits from appreciation in my portfolio, not in short term trading. As a trader, I made money by buying and holding. Any losses in my stock positions were taken out of my paycheck at the end of the month - in fact, I had to pay back any loss. Tags: finance, investing, stock, stock market, growth stocks
Use your business credit card to protect your cash flowBy: Hannah Callen - Much has been written about the benefits of owning a business credit card, and the focus always seems to fall on the seemingly endless lists of offers and promotions that companies that use these cards can qualify for. Of course, these cards are multi-faceted and serve a variety of purposes, not least of which are the available deals and discounts. However, for many businesses, the availability of credit is a vital tool in managing finances through times where cash is limited and yet there are still things that have to be paid for. No-one starts a business in order to close it and this particular feature has steered many small and new businesses away from bankruptcy. Tags: finance, business credit card
Payday Loans, Remedy for AllBy: Articlesbyme - Nowadays surviving from one payday to the next can be a vexing task for a normal salary drawing employee, given that the prices of all the essential commodities such as grocery, gas and etc. are ever increasing, especially if you are running a family and once in a way there comes times you have to take care of an unforeseen expenditure such as a major car repair, a hospital admission of a family member or paying an overdue bill which can disproportionate your roughly managed monthly budget.
It is perfectly reasonable if your feel helpless when such situations arise because you do not have money in your hand to take care of this urgent requirement. Tags: finance, payday loans
Is a Personal Loan Right for YouBy: Russell Phillips2 - Personal loans can be an ideal situation for those that need more quickly but don’t have the credit history to obtain a loan from a bank. Personal loans are unsecured loans, meaning that there is no collateral needed to be eligible for one. Those with poor credit may choose to look for a personal loan online rather than through a bank or other financial institution. This is because obtaining a personal loan online is quick, easy, and many people even with bad credit, can become approved by any number of companies! Tags: finance, finance, loans
Automated managed Forex tradingBy: Robert Farrel - An automated trading platform is used both by trading system publishers, and the investors who subscribe to them. Using it, Forex traders can track marked-to-market performance using several different metrics for verifiability. In addition to tracking performance of these "black box" systems, the automated trading platform also provides a venue to permit the system's buy/sell signals to be executed to the subscriber's brokerage account automatically. Some of the automated trading platforms are fully broker-agnostic and permit an interface with almost any brokerage firm.
The immediate benefit to investors is that it allows them to have insight into various trading systems that are on offer, which may make claims of profitability. Tags: finance, automated forex trading, managed forex account, managed forex trading, managed forex, forex, forex account
