Stop the nonsense, Keep your teeth in your mouth.

By: sky painter

Stop extracting your teeth, If you can treat it don’t delay. I will explain here what will happen after tooth extraction so please read carefully before taking any bad decisions.

1-you wont be able to chew like before :

You simply will loose the tooth you extracted and also the opposing tooth from the other jaw because it will bite on air. Also under pressure food tend to escape to the large space formed after the extraction so you will need more effort from the tongue to get the stagnated food back to the chewing area. After a while your brain may find it easier to chew on the other side alone, This explains why many patients will be glad to pay thousands of dollars to restore the extracted tooth.

2- Appearance:

Sure the effect will be worse if the extracted teeth is located in the smile line especially incisors, Also you should know that restoring the extracted tooth in this area will coast very much and sometimes the results won’t be satisfactory to you.

Also extracting many posterior teeth will make your face appear much more older. Why??

Teeth roots supports the jaw bones and jaw bones support lips and check so when you extract the teeth the lips and check become depressed which can gives you years older look.

3-Some times you won’t be able to speak like before:

Tooth extraction can remarkably affect your letters especially if the pulled tooth is one of the incisors and it is sometimes hard to you dentist to restore the normal phonetics .

4-Spaces will appear in the extraction side:

The neighboring teeth in the same side will slide under chewing force or rotated in the empty space which will form gaps between teeth where food can be wigged easily and cause caries or even gum diseases or at least bad breath.

5- Over eruption of the opposing teeth:

when a tooth is pulled the opposing tooth in the other jaw start to over erupt or dropping from the gums which cause looseness and sensitivity to temperature changes, Looseness may increase till the tooth need extraction also.

6- It is more economic to treat than extract:

This may look strange as pulling is usually cheaper than any other form of treatment but this is the true “PULLING COAST MORE MONEY”. I can say that we “the dentists” are rich because of people who likes extraction. Once you start to eat after tooth removal you will start to think in making false teeth to fill the space you just will feel bad and start to look for a treatment for the empty space. You go to your dentist and ask him to solve your problem. You will just find that all the options available are really really expensive .

So listen to the expert advice keep your teeth where it should be “in your mouth”. Sometimes you should pay a little more money, Spend a little more time with the dentist but after all if you follow the trend of “treat what is treatable” you will find your self enjoy eating what you like where the extraction fans will be struggling with their dentures.

Gingivitis is often caused by inadequate oral hygiene, which leads to plaque buildup. The bacteria in dental plaque irritate the gums and cause infection. When your body launches an immune response against these invaders, the gums become inflamed. People with gingivitis usually experience little or no discomfort.
