Tube Cutting Capabilities Increase At Ohio Laser

Tube cutting services have been expanded at Ohio Laser LLC with the recent addition of advanced laser tube cutting technologies. While industrial laser tube cutting is complex, it offers significant costs savings in production for many manufacturing products.

Ohio Laser's new production tube cutting system processes carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum tubes up to .625 inch, .25 inch and .125 inch thicknesses respectively. The laser tube cutting machine produces 3000 Watts of power for tube cutting.

Using the CAD driven tube cutting machine, Ohio Laser can process various shapes including oval tubes, round tubes, square tubes and rectangular tubes with outside dimensions of up to 6 inch round and between .75 and 4 inch square.

The kink or plug in connections which this tube cutting system generates reduces weld fixture costs and increases production output.

This remarkable laser tube cutting system also features an automated pallet changer, complete programmable focusing and tube cutting speeds up to 2362 inches per minute.

The auto feeder can manage 21 foot long aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel tubes that are up to .25 inches in wall thickness. Tubes up to 24 feet long can be accommodated using the manual loading feature.

Some laser tube cutting benefits include almost unlimited cutting configurations, elimination of stack up tolerances inherent in multiple operations, no tooling charges, reduced lot sizes and processing of a wide variety of metal alloys.

Ohio Laser can more efficiently produce trusses, manifolds, supports, racks, frames or any other product built from tubular materials using their leading-edge laser tube cutting technologies.

Common products produced using laser tube cutting technology include playground equipment such as monkey bars, garment racks, hand railing, drafting boards, bar fixtures, point of purchase displays, sign stands, and other products built from tubes.
